These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the North Connect website, Discord community, memberships, events, services, content, and related offerings.

Eligibility

Community Purpose

North Connect is a creative community designed to connect artists, producers, photographers, videographers, designers, creative entrepreneurs, and other members of the creative ecosystem.

North Connect facilitates introductions, conversations, opportunities, educational resources, memberships, and community engagement.

We do not guarantee collaborations, employment, bookings, opportunities, business success, revenue, followers, or specific outcomes.

Community Conduct

Members agree to contribute positively to the community.

The following behavior is prohibited:

• Harassment or bullying

• Hate speech or discrimination

• Threats or intimidation

• Spam or unsolicited promotion

• Fraudulent or deceptive activity

• Impersonation

• Illegal activity

• Sharing malicious software or harmful content

• Posting content that infringes intellectual property rights

• Disrupting community operations

• Attempting to circumvent moderation actions

North Connect reserves the right to determine whether conduct violates these Terms.

Discord Community Rules

Access to the North Connect Discord community is a privilege, not a right.

Membership, participation, and access may be modified, restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time.

Community guidelines may be updated periodically.

Members are responsible for their own conduct and communications within Discord.

Use of Discord is additionally governed by Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Memberships and Payments

Certain North Connect services may require paid memberships.

By purchasing a membership, you agree to:

• Provide accurate billing information

• Maintain valid payment methods

Membership benefits may change over time.

North Connect may add, modify, or remove membership features at its discretion.

Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension or termination of access.

Unless otherwise required by law, membership payments are non-refundable.

North Connect reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke memberships for violations of these Terms.

Creative Services

North Connect may offer services including, but not limited to:

• Mixing and mastering

• Music production

• Branding

• Visual content creation

• Creative consulting

• Other creative services

Project timelines, deliverables, ownership rights, and payment terms may be governed by separate written agreements.

Events and In-Person Activities

Participation in North Connect events is voluntary.

By attending any event, meetup, workshop, networking event, session, or community gathering, you acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Connect is not responsible for:

• Personal injury

• Property damage

• Theft

• Lost belongings

• Actions of other attendees

• Transportation-related incidents

Attendees assume responsibility for their own conduct and safety.

Additional event-specific waivers may apply.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share.

By posting content within North Connect platforms, you grant North Connect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, distribute, and promote that content in connection with community operations, marketing, educational content, and promotional materials.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to share any content you submit.

Intellectual Property

The following remain the exclusive property of North Connect:

• North Connect name

• Logos

• Branding

• Website content

• Community materials

• Educational resources

• Original content

• Designs

• Graphics

• Written materials

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Opportunities and Third-Party Content

North Connect may allow users to post:

• Job opportunities

• Collaborations

• Events

• Services

• Projects

• Recommendations

North Connect does not verify, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any opportunity, individual, organization, or third-party content.

Users participate in third-party opportunities entirely at their own risk.

North Connect is not responsible for:

• Failed collaborations

• Non-payment

• Misrepresentation

• Fraud

• Business disputes

• Project outcomes

Users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence.

Community Moderation

North Connect reserves the right to:

• Remove content

• Edit content

• Restrict access

• Suspend accounts

• Remove members

• Revoke memberships

• Refuse future participation

Moderation decisions are made at North Connect's sole discretion.

North Connect is not obligated to provide advance notice or explanation regarding moderation actions.

No Guarantees

North Connect provides services, memberships, opportunities, and community access on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

We make no guarantees regarding:

• Community growth

• Networking outcomes

• Collaborations

• Event attendance

• Revenue generation

• Creative success

• Career advancement

• Opportunity availability

Individual results will vary.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Connect, its owners, administrators, volunteers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from:

• Use of the website

• Membership participation

• Discord activity

• Community interactions

• Events

• Services

• Third-party opportunities

North Connect's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to North Connect during the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless North Connect and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses, costs, or legal fees arising from:

• Your use of North Connect

• Your conduct within the community

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any law or third-party rights

Termination

North Connect may terminate or suspend access at any time, with or without notice.

Termination does not relieve users of obligations incurred prior to termination.

Sections relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law shall survive termination.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal action, users agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting North Connect.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Washington State, except where prohibited by law.

Each party shall bear its own legal fees unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
