Introduction

Welcome to North Connect ("North Connect," "we," "our," or "us").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the North Connect website, accounts, events, tickets, services, content, and related offerings.

By accessing or using North Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to access North Connect.

If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use our services.

By using North Connect, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Community Purpose

North Connect is a creative community designed to connect artists, producers, photographers, videographers, designers, creative entrepreneurs, and other members of the creative ecosystem.

North Connect facilitates introductions, conversations, opportunities, educational resources, and community engagement.

We do not guarantee collaborations, employment, bookings, opportunities, business success, revenue, followers, or specific outcomes.

Community Conduct

Members agree to contribute positively to the community. The following behavior is prohibited:

• Harassment or bullying
• Hate speech or discrimination
• Threats or intimidation
• Spam or unsolicited promotion
• Fraudulent or deceptive activity
• Impersonation
• Illegal activity
• Sharing malicious software or harmful content
• Posting content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Disrupting community operations
• Attempting to circumvent moderation actions

Tickets and Payments

Some North Connect events are free; others require a paid ticket. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to pay the listed price and to provide accurate billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. North Connect does not receive or store your full card details.

Ticket sales close when an event begins.

Unless stated otherwise for a specific event, tickets are non-refundable. If North Connect cancels an event, ticket holders are refunded in full. If an event is rescheduled, your ticket remains valid for the new date; if you cannot attend, contact us for a refund.

North Connect reserves the right to deny, suspend, or cancel tickets and accounts for violations of these Terms.

Events and In-Person Activities

Participation in North Connect events is voluntary. By attending any event, meetup, workshop, networking event, session, or community gathering, you acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Connect is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, theft, lost belongings, actions of other attendees, or transportation-related incidents.

Attendees assume responsibility for their own conduct and safety. Additional event-specific waivers may apply.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share.

By posting content within North Connect platforms, you grant North Connect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, distribute, and promote that content in connection with community operations, marketing, educational content, and promotional materials.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to share any content you submit.

Intellectual Property

The following remain the exclusive property of North Connect: the North Connect name, logos, branding, website content, community materials, educational resources, original content, designs, graphics, and written materials.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Opportunities and Third-Party Content

North Connect may allow users to post job opportunities, collaborations, events, services, projects, and recommendations.

North Connect does not verify, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any opportunity, individual, organization, or third-party content. Users participate in third-party opportunities entirely at their own risk.

North Connect is not responsible for failed collaborations, non-payment, misrepresentation, fraud, business disputes, or project outcomes. Users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence.

Community Moderation

Access to North Connect is a privilege, not a right. Participation and access may be modified, restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time.

North Connect reserves the right to remove content, edit content, restrict access, suspend accounts, remove members, cancel tickets, and refuse future participation.

Moderation decisions are made at North Connect's sole discretion. North Connect is not obligated to provide advance notice or explanation regarding moderation actions.

No Guarantees

North Connect provides services, tickets, opportunities, and community access on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

We make no guarantees regarding community growth, networking outcomes, collaborations, event attendance, revenue generation, creative success, career advancement, or opportunity availability. Individual results will vary.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Connect, its owners, administrators, volunteers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from use of the website, your account, community interactions, events, tickets, services, or third-party opportunities.

North Connect's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to North Connect during the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless North Connect and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses, costs, or legal fees arising from your use of North Connect, your conduct within the community, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

Termination

North Connect may terminate or suspend access at any time, with or without notice. Termination does not relieve users of obligations incurred prior to termination.

Sections relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law shall survive termination.

Changes to These Terms

North Connect may modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website. Continued use of North Connect following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal action, users agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting North Connect.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Washington State, except where prohibited by law. Each party shall bear its own legal fees unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
