What we test, what we have fixed, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Our commitment

North Connect exists to get people into a room together. A website that keeps somebody out of that room has failed at the only thing it is for.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across our public pages and the whole of buying a ticket.

What we actually test, and how

These are automated checks that run against the real site every time we change it, not a one-off audit:

  • Colour contrast on every piece of text, measured against the real painted colours rather than the values in our stylesheet — including text inside faded or layered elements
  • Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels, measured as the area a finger can actually hit
  • The full axe-core rule set for WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 at Levels A and AA — covering form labels, heading structure, landmarks, link names, and image alternatives
  • The checkout itself, step by step, because the part of a site where somebody spends money is the part that must not exclude anybody

What we have not covered yet

Automated testing finds perhaps a third of accessibility problems. It cannot judge whether a heading is meaningful, whether an image description is useful, or whether a page makes sense read aloud from top to bottom.

We have not yet completed a manual audit with assistive technology, and we have not had the site reviewed by disabled users. Until we have, we are relying on you to tell us what our tests cannot see.

Access at our events

Our events happen in venues we do not own, and access varies between them. If you are considering a ticket and need to know about step-free access, seating, lighting, sound levels, or anything else about the space, contact us before you buy and we will find out and tell you honestly.

If you need an adjustment to take part — anything from a reserved seat to a quiet space — tell us and we will arrange what we can.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site or any of our events got in your way, we want to know, and you do not need to describe it in technical terms. What you were trying to do and what happened is enough.

Email us and we will reply. If something is blocking you from a ticket right now, say so and we will complete the purchase for you rather than make you wait for a fix.
